Credit report errors

The report says something you know isn’t true.

A credit report is a list of claims about you, and anyone can be wrong. Another person’s account lands in your file. A paid loan still shows as late. A debt you never opened keeps costing you rates.

We pull your reports, mark each wrong line, and write to both the bureau and the company that reported it, with your proof attached. Then we follow every reply until the line is fixed or we tell you what the next step would be.

  • Reports from all three bureaus, line by line

  • Dispute letters to the bureaus and the companies reporting

  • Follow-up on every answer, in writing

What the flat fee includes

One package covers one set of errors across the bureaus. A second round for new errors is quoted on its own.

  • Your reports, marked up

We go through each report and mark what is wrong, outdated or not yours.

  • Letters with proof

Each dispute goes out with your statements, payoff letters or police reports.

  • Follow-through

We track the deadlines and tell you what each answer means.

Included: reading your reports, dispute letters, follow-up. Not included: a lawsuit against a bureau or lender, which is a separate written agreement.

About credit reports

How do I get my reports?

You can ask each bureau for a free copy on a regular schedule. We’ll show you how, or you can send them to us.

Will disputing hurt my score?

Disputing an error does not count against you. What we remove is what was wrong.

What if a bureau won’t fix it?

We tell you what a lawsuit would involve and what it would cost, and you decide. That would be a separate agreement.
